[Germany] Accumulating or distributing ETFs

Post by dipetkov »

Hello

I have accumulating ETFs in my Interactive Brokers Central Europe account. They are all Ireland-domiciled: IGLA, EUNA, VWCE and VWRA.

I'm moving from Luxembourg (where Acc ETFs incur no dividends) to Germany (where Acc ETFs have to be reported to the tax authorities, but differently from distributing ETFs).

I'm concerned about the complexity of tax reporting in Germany. And I'm confused about whether to keep the ETFs I have (and keep buying more) as would be easier or to sell them and buy distributing ETFs instead? Does this depend on the broker?

Thank you for any comments and advice.
