Dividend taxation process [Italy]

Post by Siaigi »

Hi everybody!

could you help me know for sure what the dividend taxation process is?

In particular, who chooses the exchange rate when the dividends are in foreign currency and who imposes the% tax?

I ask because in Italy we have a taxation on bonds that can vary from 12.50% to 26% depending on who issues the bonds (Italy, White list countries, specific bodies).

I’m referring to ETF VUTY, VETY, VAGF and VEMT

You may want to edit the thread title to be "Dividend taxation process in Italy" or similar, to attract those familiar with Italian tax law.
