Hello Singapore Bogleheads :happy

Im based in Bahrain and looking for an ETF that tracks the Singapore market - any recommendations?

I have come across EWS but can't seem to find a UCIT version

Many thanks!

Hi, I'm afraid you might have to buy off the SGX (singapore stock exchange).

You can pick between ES3 from State Street or G3B from Nikko Asset Management, both are denominated in Singapore dollars and track the Straits Times Index, which is a list of the top 30 companies on the SGX weighted by full market cap (free float adjusted). There are mid-cap and all equity (98% covered) indices, but no ETFs (to my knowledge) that can help you fully replicate them.

SPDR® Straits Times Index ETF

Nikko AM Singapore STI ETF

I hold ES3 from within Singapore for a little bit of local equity exposure (denominated in SGD in a tax deferred account) - both are nearly as good as the other on most metrics (TER, tracking error and liquidity)

Hi,

Came across to this site when I was reading the Forbs article at https://www.forbes.com/sites/theboglehe ... d980202563

Just noticed that Singapore local chapter has very little activities at all, too bad! Any suggestions to make the group more active and useful for all?

Best wishes
