3,000 Members Strong and Climbing!

Post by Mel Lindauer » Tue Aug 21, 2007 1:09 pm

Hello Everyone:

Did anyone besides me notice that we now have more than 3,000 members signed up, and countless other "lurkers". What a remarkable achievement considering we've only been in existence for six months.

Obviously, it's a tribute to the quality of all the member's contributions. Keep up the good work!

Best regards to all,

Mel

Do you or anyone else have an estimate of the number of posters to the M* Diehards Forum?

Sorry, Bob, but M* never shared that information with me.

most of the time you look and the lurkers outnumber the registered members 3 to 1 currently online, such as right now. 51 to 17 ....

Many of those lurkers are actually indexing bots which search engines like Google use.

Best wishes,
Ken

It's all Taylor, Michael and Mel's fault for writing *that* book.

Thanks!

Mostly lurker

Post by LocalHero » Wed Aug 22, 2007 1:44 pm

Greetings Bogleheads,

I skew the lurker/member ratio because I rarely log in but scan the forum almost daily. So if others are like me the forum doesn't have as much non-member activity as you think.

Just my 25c worth,
JB

Let's remember the people who spend so very much time and energy maintaining this website. Afterall, it was the failure to "maintain" and the 'limited software' that also brought us all over here in the first place.

So thanks to the Excellent Geeks behind the scenes that make this all possible.

3000 is impressive in 6 months. Some time back someone did a chart (I believe) on how fast we are growing. It would be interesting to see an update of that now.

Where is our chart guru?

Good job!

Now, where is our chart guru? Can we see the progress made on a chart?
