Heh,

This is one of the latest examples of the stereotypical shot of traders grimacing during turbulent markets. Every market drop I see these. There must be some slang name traders have for getting caught like this and put in the newspaper? I can just see this blown up and stuck to this guys locker(or whatever, room to his penthouse?) door with derogatory notes from his coworkers. Just wondering if anyone knew any interesting/funny background of these shots. Its like de facto shot. I either think that 1)its a negative thing for a trader and that they try to look normal when they see a photographer or 2) they want to be put in the paper, and when they see the photographer coming, all the workers put on thier best grimace face in a perverse sort of grimace beauty pageant?

There can clearly be no other possibilities : P

not so sincerely,

LH

How do you know that this gesture doesn't mean to buy 3,000 contracts at 96.5?

Heh heh.

I seriously hope that guy didn't have a pencil in his fist. Maybe that's why he's making a face...
