Am I Getting my Awards points added and gaining at Fidelity

Post by bsquared »

Just took the opportunity to read through some of the posts regarding using Fidelity as a one stop shop and was reminded to post about the experience I am continuing to have with them and whether I am actually getting and retaining my rewards payments. Most of you have not had the problems I have had. I am for some reason also having trouble accessing the account online. Would anyone have any advice regarding these problems? I would greatly appreciate it.

I think maybe you need to restate the scenario, and problem, to better elicit responses. I definitely don't follow. But in general (not just at Fidelity) cc rewards are delayed one if not two statements, if that's what you're talking about.

I'm sure you're right about what I need to do for responses, but I have spent too much time nd effort just by asking this broad question when hopefully somebody could just let me know if they know what's going on for them. I think I should just call Fidelity and try to get whatever I can and call it a day.

I am getting my 2% cash reward as expected. I do not expect to get "points" whatever those are. The cash gets deposited into my Fidelity checking account periodically and I get an e-mail when that happens. I zero out the Fidelity checking account when that happens by transferring 100% of the cash to my external checking account.

Not sure what you are asking, so I assume it's the Fidelity 2% Cashback credit card. DW & I both have our own cards and 2% is consistently deposited into our 529 college fund without fail when the amount is >$50. Great CC.

Well, this is nice to know. You are getting a transfer out of the rewards points >$50.  I just called the card copy and the bank and they are telling me that I need to accrue $150 more in rewards to get $2,284.00. This account was originally set up to transfer the rewards to a Schwab checking  account and we would go in and make the transfer. Then I changed it online to automatically make the transfer. At that point they started moving it into the cash management account and I was able to go online and get it. Somehow we got to where we are now but I am unable to understand how. Am I missing something that should be apparent to me? Thanks in advance.
