international website purchase credit card verification

I occasionally make purchases on international websites, and have to always call in to Bank of America to approve the purchases since they fail some Visa check. This is annoying - is there a way to enable some 2F auth or something else to be able to do this without having to call the bank?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hmm. No idea if this would work. How about a cc that allows online travel alert. You set it to the country your international website is located, use a vpn and set it to show you are in that country and see if that works.
