Any podcast on social security and medicare issues?
Retiring July 1st and trying to educate myself on social security issues. I have 20 years in public education, and prior to that I had 21 years in private industry. Since I'm covered by the Windfall Elimination Provision, I would guess it would do me no good to wait to collect social security. Anyway, just trying to get educated a bit, and am interested in knowing if there are any podcasts out there. Need something to listen to while I'm doing my walking.

Listen to Mark Miller's retirementrevised podcast at his website.

Re: Any podcast on social security and medicare issues?
WEP determines how your initial Social Security benefit amount is calculated.
You will still receive any and all delayed credits as well as COLAs on your SS benefits, and WEP has no impact on those percentages.
Whether or not to wait to collect your SS benefits is best considered with all else going on in your financial construct. WEP is not the determinative factor.
