Post by Keepcalm » Sat Nov 03, 2018 12:58 pm

Im assuming its between Marcus by Goldman Sachs and Ally?

Ally is 24 hours I believe? Is Goldman Sachs just as fast?

I have checking at USAA, savings at AMEX and investments at VG. I can't recall the last time an ACH didn't go in <=24 hours.

Lots of banks offer next day ACH. However, there are differences in cutoff times. For instance, it’s 4pm Eastern with Fidelity, but noon Central with Alliant. For what it’s worth, Fidelity also offers free wire transfers, which occur same day.

Yes, Fidelity does offer free wire transfers, and they will automatically sell a money market fund to cover the transaction. It's a good setup. I used it this week.

I use Zelle to move small amounts between our household accounts. It's virtually instantaneous.

Don’t you have to be Premium with Fidelity to get this benefit?

No. Free wire transfers are available to the unwashed masses.
