W2 ESPPD figure
W2 ESPPD figure
My W2 includes ESPPD figure in box 14. Is that the figure I enter in Taxact as adjustment of ESPP tax basis in the textbox "Actual cost or other basis"?
Re: W2 ESPPD figure
Hard to tell. Does that number match your own calculation?ejvyas wrote:My W2 includes ESPPD figure in box 14. Is that the figure I enter in Taxact as adjustment of ESPP tax basis in the textbox "Actual cost or other basis"?
The IRS description of box 14 includes (see https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw2.pdf):
Probably worth a call to your payroll department asking what the number represents.Employers may use this box to report information such as state disability insurance taxes withheld, union dues, uniform payments,
health insurance premiums deducted, nontaxable income, educational assistance payments, or a member of the clergy's parsonage allowance
and utilities.

I'm not sure how to calculate the figure on my own. Do I take the fair market value of the stock on the date of purchase?

"D = Discount" is certainly plausible....ejvyas wrote:Huh? It clearly says ESPPD so I'm sure it can't be anything else but espp discount.
