Does anyone have any update on how Mr. Larimore is doing? His last BH post was on April 20. His nuggets of wisdom add to any conversation he joins.

Wishing him well wherever he is. 🙏

I think after reaching 100, there may be a certain denouement aspect and he’s probably taking some time for himself and his many hobbies - sailing, charitable works, etc.

And if he’s not feeling well we certainly send our warmest best wishes for a speedy recovery! He looked very well in those 100th birthday photos!

Ode to Mr. Larimore:

Beneath the canopy of financial lore,
Resides a sage of unwavering score,
Taylor Larimore, wise beyond his years,
Guiding through markets, beyond the fears.

In Boston's arms, this legend was born,
Through the icy blasts of life's fierce morn.
A paratrooper in the throes of war,
Battle of the Bulge, his valor soared.

Miami schooled, in business's embrace,
A life insured, a race well paced.
From IRS to seas of sail,
His wisdom grew with each hearty gale.

A sailor true, on liquid plains,
Instructor of the year, his skill remains.
With Pat by side, through sixty-two springs,
Their love and portfolios took wings.

Drawn to Bogle’s simple, potent creed,
In thrifty virtue, he found his lead.
Three funds to bind them, wisdom's core,
His pen and voice, a financial lore.

Champion of small investors, a guiding star,
In Bogleheads' Hall, his fame not far.
A forum sage, from dawn to dusk,
Helping hands, through market's husk.

So here’s to Taylor, the King of the wise,
His legacy in every investor’s eyes.
As markets sway and fortunes spin,
His counsel strong, a sure win-win.

In Miami's heart, a day bears his name,
For youth and sailors, his enduring fame.
Taylor Larimore, a beacon bright,
In the lore of finance, a guiding light.

Thank you for using the beautiful word denouement. I sprinkle it in my conversations and have realized it's usually not understood since for most folks it was buried in a boring class on Language Arts.
I believe it to be a euphonious mellifluous word and a perfect poetic replacement for "glideslope" or any other oft-invoked metaphor for a gracefully executed ending. Thanks be to Taylor for being a lighthouse example of the graceful poetries of patient simplicity within the passage of time.

I do hope Taylor is doing well, I have to admit that I am concerned. It was an honor to attend his 99th and 100th virtual Birthday party and I got to see other Bogleheads on Zoom, people I had interacted with on the forum but otherwise knew nothing about. I would very much like to attend his 101st virtual Birthday party in January 2025. Keep on trucking, Taylor.

I talked to Taylor and he's recovering from a short illness. He hopes to be back online soon. Let's hope that his recovery and return is sooner rather than later.

Get well soon, my dear friend.

My Boglehead friends:

I have not been able to visit the forum for some time and I miss you. I have no specific illness except maybe old age (I turned 100 last January). Unfortunately, it put me in the hospital. I have returned home but require full-time care. This is my first attempt to return to the computer.

My family checks the computer and keep me aware of what is going on with the Bogleheads which has been my primary endeavor for many years.

No one has benefited from this forum more than I have. Thanks to Mr. Bogle, you, and my Three-Fund Portfolio I have no money worries.

I wish you the same.

Taylor, you are obviously missed by many and we are glad you're back! You have always been an inspiration to me both as an investor and as a person. Your kindness and thoughtfulness are only exceeded by your knowledge and generosity in sharing it. You have improved my life immensely. I for one (and I know I'm just one of a multitude) hope that you are contributing to this community for many more years to come. One of my biggest regrets is not having the opportunity to meet you in person - yet.

Take care.

Thank you Taylor!

Same here. Words can't express my gratitude for everything Taylor has done helping not only myself, but the forum and countless others.
