Lost all payment methods in Amazon?

I order off of Amazon weekly for all types of products and have the Amazon Prime membership + 5% off credit card for at least a decade and never had an issue.

Yesterday I noticed when checking out (I didn’t make any changes to anything), that my payment method of my Amazon card and other methods were removed.

It still shows my Amazon card in my Amazon Wallet just not at checkout.

I asked support and they said most likely a “glitch” and sent me a link to add new payment methods. After tracking down my Amazon card #, when I try to add it, it still doesn’t seem to save. The card is active, fully paid off every month and lots of available credit. It doesn’t have an expiration date either (the way their card works).

Has this happened to anyone else? I’ll try support again today but the whole thing seems super odd. I have 2FA enabled and don’t sense there was any logins etc

Odd. Are you inadvertently logged onto your Amazon account/app as a different household user?

Just checked my account and my payment methods are in my wallet and available at checkout.

Check carefully how you're logged in - Amazon has been known to create multiple nearly identical accounts (and badly merge non-related AWS accounts, etc).

Logout and login with your email address (the one you see on a recent Amazon purchase).

I'm always currently logged in via browser (Chrome on Windows), via app on iPhone, and through the Whole Foods app (only used once, so I just logged that out). I logged out of all accounts, and maybe will try to log back in a few hours, in case it was some weird syncing glitch?

Figured it out.

I had a few items in my cart, and didn't think anything of the actual items...Apparently it was due to a specific product that I had, which was discounted due to an included yearly free subscription w/ auto-renewal, and I believe for those type of deals/products, you need to use a regular CC. I switched to the non-discounted version of the product (just a trial subscription), and right away my Amazon Credit Card came back. It was just odd, as it didn't give any prompts/popups about it.
