My son goes to a private school where school uniforms are required.
I ordered and paid for the required uniforms at the end of June. The total purchase was about $500. The uniform company has been very slow in delivering the ordered uniforms. Some were delivered but the bulk were not. I just found out that the company has shut down all its operations.
I paid the purchase using a BofA visa card. Is there any chance I can recover some of the money from CC?
Thanks
Credit card charge back for purchases from a bankrupt company?

The one who knows is your bank. Ask.
Re: Credit card charge back for purchases from a bankrupt company?
We bought a season of theater tickets. We went to the first production, and it was pretty good. But the first production ended up being the last of five scheduled productions due to the production company closing down. We tried to ask for a refund for the cancelled shows, but their phone was out of order and emails were not returned.
We filed a dispute with Visa and a week or two later we had a full, un-prorated refund of over $1000. The dispute was filed about 6 months after first buying the season tickets, and about 2-3 months after the first production. Visa staff noted that the clock on the refund started when we realized the production company defaulted on its program, not the time of ticket purchase.
I suggest you dispute the charge via Visa sooner than later. It is pretty easy to do.

You should get a full refund. Contact BOA (not Visa) and inform them of the attempts to contact the merchant and the result. Have some hard information.

I filed a chargeback with BofA. It may take a few months but I think I will get my money back.
