[Real-Time] Delta Sky Club + Hot Spot (Concerns?)

Post by bhwabeck3533 »

Sitting in the Delta Sky Club in Atlanta Gate D right now. Connected via my Verizon Hot Spot. Should I consider myself 100% secure from a technology/internet perspective?

I travel with my dedicated financial computer, 100 feet of Ethernet cable, a network switch, and I lay my own fiber optic behind me as I travel to make absolutely sure.

Absolutely not 100% safe.

A few examples:
You're in a public space and it would be easy to steal your unlocked devices or simply watch you enter you pasword, etc. There are probably cameras pointed at you where someone can do the same. Even if you preserve the integrity of your authentication means, a lot can be gained by just looking at your screen. Mobile networks are easily comprimised by state actors, disenfranchised employees, and others.

However, you can decide if any of that matters to you. As always, it comes down to the threat model.
