Hoa paining all buildings since it was time to do so. They did it before twice i think building were build in 1990. This time thay decided thay will also put coating for lanai (balcony). Some of the unit have tiles on the floor what is violating rules. They started 2 months ago and our will by painted in february. So thay said that tiles need to be removed on owner expanse (i agree cus im responsible for lanai anayway). Managing company sent us letter telling "company that is painting will also remove tiles".
I went to the meeting and ask what is the estimate for removal. They dont know how much we have to pay and those units that were alredy done dont know how much they need to pay. What to do in this situation? Should i remove them myself? Hire someone? Let them do it? Is that even legal that HOA board of directors dont know the estimate?
Ps. Sorry for my english

0 *** Absolutly clarify if the painting company is going to remove the tiles as the mgt company says.
***Call the mgt company on the phone...now...and clear this up. Use your phone. Call. (not email or messages or waiting). Call now.
Then...if so...get email verification sent to you with a price. Ask if it can be cheaper ifyou take care of it yourself?
then
1 Call around to several local "handiman" services" and also "licensed insured tile contractors" to come and have a look and give you a price for removal of the tiles.
1b. Pick up the phone....call now. Not tomorrow...not by someone else...call now... yourself...
1c. Yes. Spend time at online websites offering services in your area to do this kind of work.
But......pick up the phone...call now... schedule for them to come and look and give a price...
2 Include a seperate price for resurfacing or covering the wood damage from the tile removal. Make it look good again.
3 Be sure you have at least 3 prices to do the work from 3 different people.
Choose and have the work done.
If you are skilled, and willing, remove the tiles yourself. (realize that most of them will be broken depending on how they were installed.
