Any deals on iPhone 13 Mini?
Are there any deals out there on the iPhone 13 Mini? I'm particularly interested in the Mini because it's the smallest iPhone that I could potentially purchase new.
Apple announced on 9/12 that it was being discontinued (apparently effective immediately), so I'm hoping to get a clearance price on it. However, my brief search shows that it's not so readily available.
Clarification -- not interested in used. If used, I might as well keep using my old iPhone 8 until it's REALLY unsupported...

Apple does not do clearance. Best bet is used.
Re: Any deals on iPhone 13 Mini?
Apple.com doesn't list the 13 mini. You have to look at carriers. People want bigger screens. I have the 12 mini. In the future, I will just buy the SE if Apple still makes it, because I think it is the smallest. I haven't compared it is just my impression.

Apple generally doesn't offer clearance sales for their devices. Your best bet for discounted Apple products would be to go for refurbished items. You can find these on Apple's official refurbished store.

You may want to pick a phone now, the new SE will likely be 6.1" according to Macrumorsgotoparks wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 12:54 am Apple.com doesn't list the 13 mini. You have to look at carriers. from the article:
As an iPhone 13 mini owner, I'm somewhat disappointed with the trend toward larger screens. It seems that the younger generation prefers bigger displays, primarily for social media use. While I have enjoyed the compact form factor of my 13 mini, it looks like I'll be forced to adapt and upgrade to a larger device like the iPhone 15 Pro in the near future. There are no plans to revive the iPhone's "mini" form factor in Apple's pipeline, according to rumors. The smallest iPhones in the works, such as next year's iPhone 16 and the fourth-generation iPhone SE, are expected to feature 6.1-inch displays. On the contrary, some future devices, such as the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, are expected to grow even larger, increasing to 6.3- and 6.9-inches, respectively.

I have a 12-Mini. I've come to the conclusion that some day I will be faced with the choice of going back to Android and ditching the smartphone entirely (would lean that way, all other things equal). Maybe by then there will be enough actual function on the watch to make it interesting.radioactive wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 2:24 pm As an iPhone 13 mini owner, I'm somewhat disappointed with the trend toward larger screens. Very sad making. The 13 mini is already bigger than I like. I was buying first gen SEs off ebay for years before caving and upsizing to the 13 mini. If they’re really all getting bigger I’ll have to find something else which is too bad because I generally like iphone.radioactive wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 2:24 pmAs an iPhone 13 mini owner, I'm somewhat disappointed with the trend toward larger screens. There are no plans to revive the iPhone's "mini" form factor in Apple's pipeline, according to rumors. Apple already makes the smallest phones on the market, unfortunately.jjj_22 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 3:01 pm

Good luck on finding one. I’ve got an iPhone13 mini, and it’s just about perfect. I’m dreading having to eventually replace it.toomanyquestions wrote: ↑Fri Sep 15, 2023 11:15 pm Are there any deals out there on the iPhone 13 Mini? Re: Any deals on iPhone 13 Mini?
I have a 12 mini. I'm surprised the minis are a poor enough selling item that Apple is discontinuing them. Seems like there would be enough of a market for them to keep the going as an option. I do have to admit though, the larger screens are easier to read, but I hate carrying a larger phone around in my pockets.
There's a lot of "renewed" iPhone 13 mini options on Amazon. Not sure though what kind of crapshoot that might be.
I'm hoping Apple can perfect a flip phone screen. Might be the best of both worlds if they can get it right, but they may not even go down that road at all.

Unihertz is probably the smallest usable one (good battery life, borderline usable keyboard). I just ordered their jelly star. I'm typing this from a pixel 7 pro, so it's going to be quite an adjustment. The iPhone 4 had a 3.5" screen and the jelly star has a 3" screen.dukeblue219 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 3:09 pmApple already makes the smallest phones on the market, unfortunately.jjj_22 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 3:01 pm

My wife will still have a 7 pro for if we want to get nice pictures of the kids.
I'd get a feature phone, but unfortunately I still need to do group messaging and sign kids into daycare using a QR code and their mobil app, so I need a smart phone but I'm going to go mini

Never look back unless you are planning to go that way

Just picked up a new one at Visible. $600 plus tax for the 128gb model. Only catch is that you have to pay for two months of Visible service before the phone is unlocked.
Get it while it lasts.

Lots of new ones on ebay in the 700 to 800 range. I'd get an SE instead myself and I'm guessing lots of people thinking that is why the minis are not that popular. You can get a brand new Gen3 SE for $300.
Re: Any deals on iPhone 13 Mini?
Bought my 13 mini in July 2022 and for me, it is the perfect size. I cannot use the large screen phones comfortably.

Red Pocket is doing a $300 rebate on all iPhones. So you can get one for $229 through them. Only catch is you are locked in for a year. Plans are $20-40 a month.

There aren't any androids as small as the iPhone Mini. At least not normal full-featured phone. The Pixel 7a and Zenfone are considered small for Android and they are the size of the regular iPhone.jebmke wrote: ↑Sat Sep 16, 2023 2:47 pmI have a 12-Mini. If I can get close, that would work. But, good chance I'll bag smartphones anyway. I use mine less and less now. Most of the time, my iPad does what I need.the_wiki wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2023 5:37 pmThere aren't any androids as small as the iPhone Mini. At least not normal full-featured phone. Or, maybe by then smart watches will have a use case.
