how to send a food basket to Sweden?

Post by mookie »

I'd like to send a food/fruit basket to a friend in Sweden, around $50 (I'm in the U.S.). Is there a Stockholm shop I can send it from and pay by credit card? A Swedish version of Edible Arrangements?

Interestingly, after being posted for less than 15 minutes, this thread is already in the search results.

Urban Deli in Stockholm has some Christmas gift boxes available for purchase online. (Website in Swedish only.)

That's helpful, thanks! I don't know Swedish, so having difficulty picking out the particular basket I want. Any chance you can post a link to one that has no meat (fish, chocolate and/or fruit is good)?

Could Google translate help enough with the Swedish?

Oh yes, that helps now.

Those baskets are only for delivery at Christmas. Does anyone have a suggestion for a Stockholm shop that delivers a gift basket in the next few days?

Here's a vegan box for 2: https://shop.urbandeli.se/collections/j ... -julbordet

Seafood for 2: https://shop.urbandeli.se/collections/j ... t-skaldjur

Cheese, coffee, etc: https://shop.urbandeli.se/collections/j ... 2-december

I don't really know Swedish either so I'm just using the built-in Google Translate in my web browser. I have visited this shop before, though, and it was nice :)

I think your best bet is to call up the place you find via an Internet and not bother to use the translate function. Phone calls from anywhere in the World to Sweden seem to work pretty well. And the Swedes speak and understand many languages quite well in my experience. A bonus is that your gift will have even more special meaning because you all can discuss how you called up the place, too!

Indeed.
