spin mops

Post by brandy » Wed Apr 15, 2020 10:44 pm

I'm thinking of buying a spin mop. :happy
Does anyone here have one? Use would be ceramic tile floors and concrete floors.
Apparently (one brand) can be used for windows, tubs, and vehicles, too.
It's just time for a new mop.

Do you like yours? Do you use it? How long have you had it?
Thanks.

I have the O'Cedar version.
PRO:
Small so easy to fill, move around and dump
Spinning does a good job of drying out the mop.
Heads machine washable and cheap generics on Amazon

CON:
Small head so takes awhile to do a large area
No scrubber for difficult spots
Short handle (I'm 6'1") so have to bend down
Issues with the spinner disengaging from the foot pedal, but slamming the mop into the spinner seems to fix it until the next time.

Not sure it is any better than a self wringing sponge mop with a regular bucket. The full size cotton mop with a wringer bucket makes for much faster work but is more of a pain to deal with.

My wife recently purchased this: O-Cedar EasyWring Microfiber Spin Mop, Bucket Floor Cleaning System
She says it works OK. And, it was only $30.
All because of putting the house cleaning service on Covid hold.

+1. We have one we use on tile porches and it does a good job.
