Google Drive Question

Post by ubermax » Wed Mar 25, 2020 4:17 pm

I installed the Google Drive app on my iPhone and moved a picture from Google photos to Google Drive , these steps were performed on my iPhone and when I tapped the Google Drive on the phone it was there - next I went to my Google account on my PC and clicked on Google Drive , the picture wasn't there - I assumed it's one cloud storage space and the picture would be assessable from either device - am I wrong ?

Sometimes in the settings, the sync will only happen if the App is open and you are plugged in and charging.

Check the Sync settings in the Google Photos app. Photos will back up the iPhone photos.

I have OneDrive, Google Photos and Apple Photos. They all back up as I tell them. You can choose wi-fi only and only if plugged in.

Try checking that sync is ON for both devices. Then refresh.

Not sure why you'd be moving a photo from Google Photos to Google Drive.

Is there a reason you don't just want to store the photo in Google Photos?

sometimes takes time to sync, and if you're on mobile data and not WIFI it may wait to sync too. Need to change a setting for that.
