I bought gas and it was $1.129 last weekend. I keep records, and that was less than any earlier fill up in the 150k miles since I bought my 2008 suv.

Don’t you wish you could get 100LL for that price?

I am a digital nomad and I am not seeing any reductions in extended stay (or hotel!) pricing - yet.

Daycare got a lot cheaper. Half off for the older one, they are planning to do something remote, and not charging for the baby.

Silver. Lowest prices since 2008, yet utterly despised.

What's the deal with that? I'm seeing the same. Is the industry just assuming that the virus scare is a binary thing and demand will either pick right back up to normal or be non-existent, and therefore it isn't really an issue that lower prices will solve? I was expecting some major bargains just like I got on airline tickets.

I'm guessing hotel demand is completely inelastic right now. Very few people will go on vacation right now, regardless of how low rates go, so no reason to lower rates for those who have to be travelling anyways.

Actually, David Jay was commenting on 100LL. In my area the lowest price was $3.25 as of a couple days ago.

The link is fine, but doesn't allow for outliers. For example, I purchased gas Saturday on the highway in MS a bit SE of Memphis. The link shows the average MS price of $1.845, quite a bit higher than the $1.129 that I paid. In that area, there were 2 other stations selling gas at $1.149 and $1.359. However, most stations outside that immediate area were $1.178-$1.183.

I know it’s a stock fund but Microcap (BRSIX) has been getting absolutely hammered.

I have a copper fund that’s being throttled as well. Copper is a major component in solar panels.

You can’t pick wrong right now. Everything is cheap.

For gas, $1.19 per gallon sounds exceptional. The EIA is showing the lowest regional average as $1.86 in the Gulf Coast region:
https://www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/

Along the high priced west coast, I'll be doing ok if I fill up for less than $2.75 tonight.

I was thinking about it, but our state just announced shelter-in-place orders tonight. I suppose they might allow the service departments to stay open, but I'd bet the sales offices will be closed.

It was apparently a local price war. There was a nearby station at $1.149.

BTW I paid only $1.129, not the “high” priced $1.19 in your post.

Our Costco is having sales on Bidets. Given the price of TP now, it’s a downright steal!

Lol well they send "lessons" which are ideas for crafts, daily schedules, activities to build motor and language skills, etc. Probably not worth 50% tuition but they could have easily just kept charging full price and we would have kept paying to keep the spot.

Hello all. I live in New York City. I often buy blueberries from the sidewalk vendors which usually have lower prices than the supermarkets (well, the "super" in "supermarkets" in Manhattan, anyway, might be an exaggeration with regard to size relative to suburban or rural areas), but the sidewalk vendor blueberries were fetching $6 for one carton or $10 for two cartons for a week or two. Then around Thursday or Friday (19 or 20 March 2020), the price plummeted to $5 for three cartons from a supermarket. I've read that this re-pricing was because of the sudden closure of restaurants, smoothie shops, bubble tea shops, etc., due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
