Mint Mobile -
Each phone $20 / month (unlim talk/text + 8 GB High Speed data & unlimited low speed).
I have 2 phones (2 x 20 x 12) = $480
I thought Mint was less than that.

Cricket here:
- $100/month for 4 lines
- 22G high speed data, lower speed unlimited after that
- Unlimited talk/text

Ms G and I have Freedompop prepaid 1 year unlimited calls and text 1GB data per month. I paid $39.99 at Best Buy for my SIM she paid $49.99 for hers. We use a lot of wifi calling through FP app, and use Google Voice, because the quality is so good. Bottom line we never go over our 1GB data. $90 a year for 2 android phones.

Anywhere from $10 to $100 PER YEAR.

We are grandfathered in a T-Mobile "pay as you go" plan. $100 buys 1000 minutes. Unused minutes roll over if you buy a $10 minimum the next year.

We typically use around 300-minutes per year.

No data. We need to find wifi.

It works for us.

Way too much!!!!!
$145x12 = $1740 for 3 cell lines (pretty much unlimited since we do not get close to our cap, and it rolls over) - AT&T
$195x12 = $2340 for internet, TV, home phone - Verizon

I could, and probably should, reduce those costs. They are easy targets. But I'm lazy. We can afford it for now, so I leave it as low hanging fruit in case we need to cut back. It is kind of strange, we did not even have any of those expenses 30 years ago (when we could not have afforded them) because they did not exist. Now they are more or less "essential"! I kind of leave them as low hanging fruit so I can cut back on them when the next latest greatest thing comes out that we'd like to have. OK that is crazy talk, but it kind of makes sense to me . . .

Now that I'm retired cutting those expenses down is definitely on my list of things to do ;) But I have so many things to do. And honestly if $4000/year breaks my budget I should not have retired!

Our last 12 bills totaled almost exactly $450.

Consumer Cellular, two phones (one smart, one not).
250 minutes talk per month.
8 months on their lowest tier data plan (250 MB, recently raised to 500 MB).
4 months on their second tier data plan (2 GB, recently raised to 3 GB).

The one smartphone spent most of its time in WiFi range, using cellular data mainly while traveling.

The non-smartphone was recently replaced with a smartphone, so in the future we will probably use more data, but it might be accommodated by CC's recent increase in limits on their data plans.
My investing princiPLEs do not include absolutely preserving princiPAL.

Another Consumer Cellular boy here. I pay a little over $35/month for more talk, text and data than I'll ever use.

I can't say enough good things about this company.

FYI:

I just ordered a Samsung Galaxy J7 Crown from HSN.

Price was $109.09 (plus tax, no shipping fee).

It included 365 days of service, 1500 minutes, 1500 texts and 1.5 data

The price on the Tracfone website for 365 days plus 1500 min/text/data is $125.00 (without the phone).
