Thanks seems like a list to consider, except Australia due to limitation on time.

East Cape of Cabo San Lucas. Either resort or VRBO house, depending on how lazy.

VBRO is fine, lazy is not visiting one attraction after another, just relax.

I went to Puerto Rico last year for the first time, and am considering another trip this January. Awesome beaches, fairly inexpensive, no customs, and a super interesting town of San Juan.

Average temperatures in Jamaica in February: high of 82, low of 73. It's about a two to two-and-a-half hour flight from Atlanta or Charlotte, I think there are also some flights from Miami.

Anywhere in the tropics or further south.

I usually don't travel in February, but I honeymooned in French Polynesia in February. It was amazing.

+1. OP was looking for outside the U.S., but Puerto Rico has enough cultural differences to feel "foreign." Old Town San Juan is lovely.

We were in Aruba this past January, excellent place to get away from the midwest winter blues. Easy access, easy to get around, a variety of accommodations, great food and of course, beaches. You can do as much or as little as you like.

Caribbean cruise is a reasonably priced option.

Saturday to Saturday or Sunday to Sunday are very common schedules. You should plan on flying into the port departure city at least a day ahead, which gives you even more time in the sunshine.

Any Caribbean islands, Latin American countries, and Columbia will be OK. For a lazy vacation, consider Cancun, Aruba, Jamaica, Dominican Republic. If you have not been in any Caribbean island, start with San Juan.

*Costa Rica-fly into Liberia or San Jose and drive to a beach town on the Pacific coast for the week. Can get different vibes depending on where you go. We spent a week in Nosara and had a fun, relaxed time
*Tulum, Mexico-slightly less of a tourist scene than Cancun further north. Stay on the beach in a boutique hotel, see some Mayan ruins, swin in a Cenote, eat and drink very well
*Cartagena, Colombia-have not been but researched and almost went a few times.
*Vieques or Cuelebra, Puerto Rico-short flights from San Juan, pretty and peaceful
*St. John, USVI-second this recommendation, rent a house (it will not be cheap)

Phuket / Khao Lak, Thailand

The weather in Phuket in February is excellent, with the lowest rainfall of the year. It is a part of the high season, only just less popular than January, so expect the island to be busy with people enjoying the average temperatures of 28.7°C (83.7°F). The 30.5mm of rain falls mostly over two or three evenings and very rarely during the nearly cloudless days. Humidity is at its lowest at a comfortable average of 63%, with cooling breezes from the east. The seas around Phuket are generally calm and, at 29°C (84°F), almost like a pleasant bath!

Rome, Florence and Barcelona are nice during this time. According to my friends, Athens will be good as well.

Hawaii, Florida Keys, New Orleans, Death Valley National Park (great time to visit - comfortable temps and desert flowers).

Zanzibar, New Zealand on the international front.

On the cold side, I would love to visit Yellowstone in the winter.

If I stay in San Juan, Puerto Rico for a month of February, should I stay in hotel or airbnb? What is the price range? Would I be bored for a while month in San juan?

Yep.

Hawaii, Costa Rica, French Polynesia (Bora Bora is the most beautiful place on earth), Fiji.

Fiji gives a nice mix of Mexico like activities (beach/pool volleyball, jetski safari, with Hawiaii level safety)

Too short a time to go to Asia, Australia or NZ in my opinion. We took a trip to Buenos Aires and a ferry across to Uruguay last year. Very enjoyable. Particularly enjoyed Montevideo. Big advantage is the less significant time difference from US time zones. No jet lag.

as a counter to this, i really disliked Jamaica.

i will definitely second the Aruba and PR recommendations though. and, of course, Hawaii.

I'm planning to spend a month or two in London, most likely January and February.

My definition of "warm weather" may differ significantly from yours, however. :)

Sorry for the late reply. We spent 6 nights in PR, 3 nights in the rincon area, and 3 near San Juan. We rented Airbnb’s in both locations. Rincon is about 2 hours from the airport, and is a really laid back beach area, then got to experience the city for the 2nd half of the trip.

I enjoyed it so much I just booked flights to go in Jan for 8 nights, can’t wait

With regard to New Orleans.....if warm weather is a major consideration, February in N.O. is hit or miss. You might wind up with some gorgeous spring-like weather, or it might be cold and rainy for a week. Also, with regard to Feb 2020, Madrid Gras is on Feb 25, so you would be visiting during Carnival season. You might regard that as an advantage. Or maybe not.

1. Get Chase Sapphire 50,000 point bonus.
2. Redeem for 10 nights at Hyatt Place Fort Myers.
3. Thank me.
Understand that choosing an HDHP is very much a "red pill" approach. Most would rather pay higher premiums for a $20 copay per visit. They will think you weird for choosing an HSA.
