While I understand the basics of “ usual and customary “ tipping, we have a delivery person who goes above and beyond, often delivering a huge influx of heavy business packages with no co- workers to help . We've experienced excellent delivery service before ( as well as some abysmal service). She simply stands out, ensuring that even packages which aren’t clearly addressed get to the right person or department, even if it extends beyond her expected and paid work time. This is just one example of her stellar work. .
Any idea of how much more to tip beyond what is “ usual and customary”? We don’t know her hourly or weekly pay. Any suggestions would be welcome....
How much to tip beyond “ usual and customary” in this situation
Re: How much to tip beyond “ usual and customary” in this situation
Is this a parcel carrier (UPS/Fedex), a messenger, or something different?
For parcel carriers I generally don't tip for deliveries, but I'd give someone like you describe a $100-200 tip at the end of the year.

$100-$200 seems very reasonable for this situation

$100 and a handwritten thank-you note

+1 Merry Christmas from Benjamin Franklin would be a nice gesture and appreciated I would think.

This is very helpful. I was wavering between $75 and $100, I’m going to give $100 and a handwritten note.
