Htc u12+ on Verizon [Cellphone]
If anyone tries to activate/ use this phone on Verizon, please let me know. I’m interested in this phone but remember reading that with the u11, despite being certified on Verizon, people struggled to get it functional

HTC is still around? They USED to make great phones.

Google’s Pixel also had less than 1% market share since it was launched a year ago, with an estimated 2.8 million shipments, IDC estimates.

What's the difference between selecting the Verizon version vs the unlocked version on this page?

Considering that the phone won't be released till end of June; it will be awhile for some feedback unless someone here is in the industry who got early access to one.
Re: Htc u12+ on Verizon
The unlocked one works for all 3 carriers. I don't know why anyone wouldn't pick the unlocked one since it's the same price as the carrier specific ones. Normally unlocked phones cost more, but given that none of these phones are being sold directly by the carriers could be the reason. Not even sure why they are even offering locked versions in that case...DiggleRex wrote: ↑Sun May 27, 2018 9:00 am What's the difference between selecting the Verizon version vs the unlocked version on this page?

There's a reasonably good explanation of locked vs unlocked at https://www.cnet.com/news/confused-abou ... -explains/.DiggleRex wrote: ↑Sun May 27, 2018 9:00 am What's the difference between selecting the Verizon version vs the unlocked version on this page?

The other primary difference would be that a carrier-specific phone will have the carrier's applications loaded on it -- for example, some sort of "my account" access, maybe a voicemail application, etc.
