Interesting to see what people have on their list.

For me? I don't really have a bucket list.
And I thought I was the only one not into bucket lists.
+1. I'd be interested to know people's bucket list failures - they've left it too late.
Not admitting 100% failure yet but its not looking good.

Didn't climb Denali or Grand Teton
Don't have my Blue Belt in BJJ

Not exactly a failure but I realized that I have been to 49 states and I will likely not hit 50.

The one I am missing is North Dakota and I don't think that I will ever get there even though I will be within 100 miles of it this summer.
Aw, c'mon! A hundred miles? I'm at 46. Don't let me beat you.

I doubt I shall see Syria or Libya again in my lifetime. Wonderful places before they started killing each other.

Did manage East Berlin when it was (just) still in a separate country. Never saw any other Iron Curtain countries.

Pakistan and the Karakorum highway not looking too good either. Afghanistan. Iraq. There's a lot of the Silk Road which is now just too dangerous.

Borneo they are almost finished deforesting it. Maybe I shall see what little is left.

I always wanted to head over the Khyber Pass from Pakistan into Afghanistan then head up north to the rest of the 'stans. Not looking good right now.
Yes.

Unlikely to be doable in the next 25 years. Although there will be Chinese truck convoys.

I’d like to walk across Scotland via legal rights-of-way, staying in inns along the way, either west-to-east or the reverse. Not sure I’ll ever do it. I knew someone once who took this route with his son. He said it can get quite chilly in the highlands, even in summer.
Two years ago I went on a tour of the highlands of Scotland. Our Scottish guide said that his uncle always went camping in the soft rain. This had to be done if you wanted to get out. The difference between the seasons was that in the winter the rain was cold.

Me either. I've always eschewed the phrase, wanting to avoid constant societal pressure to always have to "do something". I believe it's great that some have identified what they'd like to do, but not everyone feels they need to do so, and I believe that's perfectly okay, too (at least for me). Sure there's some preferences on how I'll spend my travel dollars every year, but I wouldn't feel any loss if those things didn't happen.

I want to go up Washington Monument.
Seems like a cliche but it's been closed so much since the 2011 earthquake, I may have procrastinated too long.
I live close too.
Brings back my memory of walking up all 898 steps when you could in 1965 (and 18 years old). Free elevator ride down.

Not that I've done all these:

Climb the Grand Tetons (with a guide and some training)
Stay at an Ice Hotel
Learn to fly an airplane
Hike the Appalachian Trail
Drive from the tip of South America to the Tip of Alaska
Go to Spain and stay in some Paradores
Go to bull riding school
Visit as many national parks and monuments as possible
Hitchhike across Australia
Run with the bulls in Pamplona
Attend the world’s largest annual tomato fight in Buñol, Spain
Pet a wild crocodile at Katchikally Crocodile Pool in Banjul, The Gambia
Attend the Annual Flower Festival in Medellin, Colombia
I did the Appalachian Trail in 1977, before it became fashionable . Well worth the effort
