Another shower question: ShowerGuard and Ultra Clear glass?

Post by yolli71 » Fri Mar 09, 2018 12:17 pm

Does anyone have any experience with "ShowerGuard" or low iron "ultra clear" glass for their shower glass?

These are two options that were presented to me for my new shower and I want to know if people are familiar with them, and if so, would you buy either one of them again? The ShowerGuard is $300 extra...I'm waiting on the estimate for the low iron glass.

I think we paid for both and saw samples in our home. So far I’m happy with our choice. Also, our bathroom is small so the premium to have glass that wasn’t tinted so much was worth it to us.

ShowerGuard

We have ShowerGuard. The cost was $300.
The purpose, for us, is to slow down the accumulation of crap, etching on the glass over decades.
Still expect to replace the glass when we sell in 20 years.
