Is Insight Visa still giving 5% on 5k?

Post by achen9291 » Mon Feb 05, 2018 2:10 pm

Earlier in the year of 2017 I had a mail from insight visa saying that they were no longer giving the 5% and to remove all the money from the account so I did that. I'm looking up tax info on interests from banks and when I logged in I saw about $53 in extra interest sitting in my savings account. That payment was posted 1/1/2018 so I"m assuming it's for the last quarter of last year. But now I'm wondering if the 5% interest is still going on?

It is; maybe you are confusing it with a different account? I have two Insight accounts and both received 5% interest last quarter.

I had the same problem. Try calling them instead. Check the comments on the Insight post at doctorcredit for the number. It's unlisted and seems sketchy, but this is how I got my second card.

No, It was labeled as insight visa when I got the mail I read it twice to make sure but I threw out the papers. I know at some point they had a transition which required you to make a new account. But if you guys hadn't heard of any recent changes I'll put money back in! Thanks.

This article might shed some light on the matter: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/insight- ... w-account/

It seems that if you have a Republic Bank of Chicago backed Insight card you still get the 5% interest, but not if you have the Axiom Bank ones.
