Great deal on tires and wheels

Post by protagonist » Fri Nov 24, 2017 7:24 pm

Discount Tires is offering:

-$100 rebate on 4 quality tires (eg Blizzaks, Nokian, Michelin, etc)
-$70 rebate on Blizzaks from Bridgestone
-$60 rebate on tires if you pay with DT CC
-$100 rebate on 4 wheels
-$60 rebate on wheels if you pay with DT CC

All cumulative. They provide free balancing and mounting and don't charge sales tax in many states.

So for example, for my 2017 Elantra Limited you can get 4 Blizzak WS 80 snow tires 195/65/15's for as little as $392-100-70-60 = $162, and 4 alloy wheels for as little as $280-100-60 = $120. If you choose to not get the CC, add $120 to the total package.

I got a local tire shop to price match (I wound up paying tax but get lifetime tire switches on/off and rotations at no charge)

I don't know how long the offer will last.

protagonist, thank you very much for posting this. I've been debating getting winter tires, and this offer may clinch the deal. It's gonna cost me more than it costs you, but I still think it looks like a good deal. BTW the offer lasts thru Monday the 27th.

I bought my Blizzaks and steel rims from DT last year just before Thanksgiving. They beat Costco's price on the tires by $40 and then gave me $100 rebate on the 4 tires + another $100 for the 4 rims. I did not sign up for DT credit card. Rebate submission was easy and done online and I received 2 $100 visa gift cards in the mail in a few weeks.

I'm not gonna sign up for the DT credit card either. As for rebates, my experience is the same as DSInvestor's. I've purchased tires from DT before, and in each case I received the rebates as promised.

I decided against the credit card as well.

Went with my local tire shop, since they do tire switches and rotations for the life of the tires if you buy from them...they beat DT's price with rebates by $8 total (without the CC rebates) but then charged me sales tax so it wound up costing me about $50 more. Worth it to me. You may luck out and get a local tire shop to price match as well....many promise they will but they may balk at the rebates.
