Itinerary for Seattle (outdoors) mid October

Post by slbnoob » Fri Oct 06, 2017 7:24 pm

I'm visiting Seattle with my wife and 1 yr old toddler next week for 4 nights. What is a good itinerary? Thinking of the usual suspects: Pike's Place and surroundings, Snoqualmie and Mount Rainier. However, Mount Rainier in mid October could be sketchy weather wise? Recommendations? Thanks.
PS: Whenever previously I've asked for trip itineraries here, I've ended up doing something very close to the (optimized) suggestions :) Also, I've been there before in the summer and been to all 3 of the above, but the other 2 traveling with me haven't.

I did once get fogged in there in early October and spent an unplanned night at the lodge (which thankfully had room since people with reservations couldn't get up the mountain).

Likely cold up at Paradise by now, and possibly snowy. Prepare accordingly.

The Aquarium on the waterfront is a family attraction.

Mt. Rainier forecast for next week (week of Monday 10-09) is snow and daytime high's in the mid 20's to low 30's. Maybe save that for next time. :|
