WWE - Been watching since a kid. I know it's fake but I remember the days when I didn't. I'd be in tears until Hulk Hogan managed to defy the odds every match.

Allen Edmonds- Between sales and Amex credit card offers I can usually find a good deal when in need

When our family dog passed a few weeks ago, my mother called chewy.com to cancel an auto-shipment. Not only did the company cancel the shipment, but they also refunded our last recent purchase which was over a few hundred dollars. They told my mom to donate the food and other purchases to a nearby shelter.

Then, three days later my mom received a dozen roses with a hand written condolence letter from the company.

They are doing something right at that company.

A few more after thinking about it some more
Sonos
Anker
Zorirushi (coffee mug, haven't tried the rice cooker)
Darn Tough Socks

Spotify is close, but there customer service can leave a lot to be desired if there is an issue.

One that has fallen off the list - Hartmann luggage. I think Samsonite bought them and their quality went way down hill. I believe the same fate bet Briggs and Riley

There are specific products I love, but when a company gets successful it starts to branch out, out source, etc. And there's no gaurantee of quality across product lines and price points. So not much different than threads about favourite producs... Vitamix, for example, makes a good blender. Lodge makes a great value cast iron skillet. And if I were to buy another, I'd get a Lodge. But I don't need another. And if something comes along w better value, I'd pick that. Or if a Le Creuset was on sale, I'd pick that. Etc. Brand loyalty -- no such thing for me. To paraphrase from Marcuse's One Dimensional Man, the choice to buy a product from one company or another is, ultimately, an illusion of choice.

I was a big Coke Zero fan until they recently changed the formula and renamed it "Coke Zero Sugar" -- I'm curious what your thoughts are on that.
Something about the new formulation made me nauseous.
Diet Coke from here on out...
I have an unopened case of the new formulation but haven't tried it yet. Tomorrow may be the day after this report. Now I'm nervous.

I would never use the word "love" for any products, brands, or companies; I reserve it for more worthy subjects. There are companies I use consistently, but they could lose my business if I found something better. I define "better" broadly and include convenience, prices, and a possibility of mistakes and fraud. With these disclaimers, the following are the organizations that at this time get most of my business:

- NPR
- Costco
- Whole Foods
- My Organic Market (MOM's)
- Amazon
- REI
- DC Improv, https://www.dcimprov.com/
- Story District, http://storydistrict.org/
- Chase credit cards and corresponding Ultimate Rewards
- United Airlines and its partners
- Amtrak
- WMATA (Washington Metro Area Transportation)

REI - they guarantee their stuff
LL Bean - flannel sheets
Costco - online car rental has low prices, additional driver free
Marriott hotels - consistently good
Boomerang pet tags - they outlast every pet
Manny's Pale Ale - you gotta come to Seattle to get it!

Weber grills - I called a few weeks ago with a question about my grill. A rep answered on the first ring, no phone menus - good sign. Had a pleasant 15 minute conversation. About 4 days later a box arrived with a free Weber Panini press (totally unrelated to my call and unexpected). Just a measure of goodwill.

Brands I don't like:
LG after getting burned (not literally) on a stove and Microwave, I will never buy another LG product. Terrible warranty service.

LL Bean is not what it once was either.

Which BLU phone are you using? I bookmarked in Amazon
- BLU R1 HD Cell Phone 16GB - Black
- BLU Energy X 2 - With 4000 mAh Super Battery - Global GSM Unlocked Smartphone - Black
both are about $110.

The price is good but the reviews are mixed.

Patagonia has had my business for 25 years and have always done right by me. I also like their outlook corporate responsibility and sustainability.
I also made my first Patagonia purchase about 25 years ago, a Navy blue zip fleece jacket. I loved it and still have it. I subsequently bought a number of Patagonia items, but I have been increasingly disappointed. I think I still receive the catalog in the mail, but I'm pretty sure I have unsubscribed from their e-mails.

If I had to summarize my reasons for losing interest in Patagonia products: the usual gripe about deteriorating quality, their product line has expanded and now seems to be more of a "fashion statement" (imo). They've also got more competition now, and others' products can be had for a fraction of the price. While I have more money now, I guess I have become stingier with it (thanks, Bogleheads). Also, I am probably more self-conscious now about walking around with a Patagonia label exposed.

Admittedly, oftentimes I am wearing stuff for everyday use as opposed to "active wear". Even so, if I am concerned about the technical specs, etc. I would likely look to other brands. For example, I may need to buy a new Gore-tex or similar rain jacket. Not sure if I will consider Patagonia in my search.

Arcteryx all the way. Best skiing shells I've ever used.

I have the R1 HD which I got for $60 through Amazon Prime. The camera is poor, but I use an actual camera when I want good quality pictures. I don't use it for games or anything, but it is just fine for podcasts, music, etc.

I previously had the Studio C HD. Also poor camera but works well for everything else. It still works but I gave it to my kid after cracking the screen.

I love not having to care about dropping or losing my phone. I can just get a new one for $60!

Not sure about "fine dining" but it is one of my interstate go-tos. Sign visible for miles. Open 24 hours. I read somewhere that Waffle House is used by disaster relief personnel to judge the seriousness of a situation. A McDonalds may close at the drop of a hat but If WH is closed, there is REAL trouble.

I like their coffee cups so much I bought one. I use it daily:
