Any alternatives to Tempur-Pedic for memory foam???

Post by davidkw » Sat Jun 17, 2017 7:13 pm

I purchased a twin bed for my guest room this week. I liked the Tempur-pedic, but the price was too high. I purchased a hybrid bed with coils and foam on the top. It is firm and I like it. For my next bed purchase for the master bedroom, if the price it right, I would like to get a foam mattress.

I have a Leesa and have had Tuft and Needles as well. Similar to Casper.

All three are very good quality. Research up which one would have the firmness you want.

Lots of very good reasonable cost foam mattresses available these days. Consumer reports recently published a review of 80+ mattresses including many foam models.

We like the Amerisleep we have, just a bit less than half the price of Tempurpedic.

We are very happy with our new mattress and adjustable bed from EZSleep. Got a $200 discount for buying both mattress and adjustable bed (Revere) there. White glove delievery (set up adjustable bed). Great customer service. And saved us lots of money from others. We went with 100% organic latex foam mattresses. I went with a standard set up of Talleylay (soft) and Dunlop medium and firm. My wife went with Tallelay all.

Love 'um.

Amazon has good options. Read reviews. Many alternatives.

I can personally vouch for this one. Not sure exactly what your budget is or the size of the mattress you're looking for, but this comes close to me.

The wirecutter.com website reviewed these. Their advice:
Here is the core truth of the mattress market: You’ll find no one mattress that works for everybody. The best any mattress can do, our experts told us, is work great for a small group of people, feel pretty good for some, and do okay for a majority of people. The subjective feelings of “firm” or “soft” complicate the matter further. One “perfect” mattress we tested was described as both “too firm” and “way too squishy” by two different people. Most foam mattresses claim to be “medium-firm” (the “medium-rare” of the mattress industry), but our tests and other reviewers have found a huge range within that middle channel.
