Amazon Customer Reviews

Post by Higman » Fri Jun 05, 2015 4:52 pm

I always read the customer reviews whenever I buy through Amazon. I give more credence to 3 & 4 star reviews than 1, 2 or 5 star reviews; they seem to be more balanced and fair. I was looking at the reviews of a particular book and found only three customers had reviewed the book. All three were five star reviews. However the last review titled “Like Father, Like Son” was the best and most honest five star review I’ve ever read!

Ah, Amazon reviews.

What I've run across lately are very new ebooks with a bunch of five star reviews, and by very new I mean, like, it was released a few hours ago, so you might think the person bought the book, sat right down and read it, then typed in a five star review. No, some of the reviewers fess up that they got free pre-release copies "in exchange for an honest review." Yeah, right.

Thanks for the links guys! Glad I didn't have a mouth full of liquid when I started reading the reviews.

I haven't laughed that hard in a while.
As brilliant a review as I have ever read. :D
