Snorkeling in South Florida

Post by Goblue97 »

Thanks for all your help on a recent post of S. Florida vacation ideas. Now, we are looking for a Top 5 list of snorkeling sites for moderate skill swimmer/snorkelers in the South Florida area. Thank you.

If you go to Dry Tortugas, just snorkel all the way around the fort. It's a wonderful experience.

+1 for Pennekamp.
Depending on the conditions, you might get good fish viewing right at the swimming beach. There are lots of snorkeling tour operators in the Keys.

+2 for Pennekamp. State park with lots of activities. Snorkeling just one of many. Scuba, boat tours great too.
