No forward delete on Android keyboard?

You know, like a backspace key that deletes one space to the right? I find on my Kindle fire, for example, that I have to tap to the right of a letter first and then use backspace. This is like doing surgery with overly large instruments.

I looked on my Nook (which is an Android), and I don't see a way to do this.

I don't know of any mobile device that has a way to do this.

Hmm, it says Shift + Delete. Doesn't work on the Kindle Fire, but maybe on android phones?

Does not work on my S3.

Have not checked 3rd party keyboard apps though.
