"Bogleheads on Investing" episode 011 - guest Mel Lindauer, host Rick Ferri

Post by Rick Ferri » Sun Jul 07, 2019 8:10 pm

This podcast is a "must" for all Bogleheads!

The Bogleheads are a global phenomenon that began over 20 years ago. It was created by individual investors to help other investors recognize that "costs matter." I recently interviewed one of the founder fathers of the global movement, Mel Lindauer. Jack Bogle called Mel the "Prince of the Bogleheads." Listen, and you'll appreciate why.

I listened to the podcast this morning. I think that it's among the best in this series.

Rick and Mel (and Taylor), thanks so much for all that you do for the Bogleheads.

I really enjoyed listening to this. The only thing that would make it better would be having the sounds of a crackling fire in the fireplace in the background. It was like a couple of long-time friends just reminiscing about the good times knowing there were more good times to come.

Bogleheads:

This is the best information I have seen about how this forum began and how it has become the largest non-commercial investment forum on the internet.

Rick's Podcast also brought back memories of how our first Bogleheads Conference began in my living room with Jack Bogle, 21 Bogleheads, and a Miami Herald reporter.

Our 2019 Boglehead Conference, limited to 220 Bogleheads, sold-out in 1-Day.

Thank you Rick and Mel.

This forum has the honor to continue Jack Bogle's crusade to give ordinary investors a fair shake.

Best wishes.
Taylor

Enjoyed the podcast. Thank you Taylor, Mel and Rick-----and all the other "unsung" Bogleheads who have devoted time and effort to made this forum such an excellent investing and financial advice experience.

Other than the website, what phone apps or channels I can use to listen to the podcast? Sirius XM for example?

You should be able to link to it with a free app from either the App Store or Google Play Store. Could be wrong, however, I doubt Sirius XM is an option.
