This is a great one.

I'll post one I have posted here before from Buffett's 2017 annual shareholder's letter:

“Every decade or so, dark clouds will fill the economic skies, and they will briefly rain gold. When downpours of that sort occur, it's imperative that we rush outdoors carrying washtubs, not teaspoons. And that we will do."

A favorite is from Warren Buffett and referred to prominently in Jack Bogle's classic book, The Little Book of Common Sense Investing: "Investing is simple, but it's not easy."

Another is from Jack: “The two greatest enemies of the equity fund investor are expenses and emotions.”
"Yes, investing is simple. But it is not easy, for it requires discipline, patience, steadfastness, and that most uncommon of all gifts, common sense." ~Jack Bogle

In a "Seinfeld" episode, there was this quick exchange between Jerry and George about compound interest after George is notified about some money in his name in an abandoned bank account. George's first line is one of my favorites when it comes to investing.

George: "Interest" - it's an amazing thing, you make money by doing nothing.
Jerry: I have some friends who base their lives on that very principal.
George: Really? Who?
Jerry: No one you know.
