Executive order on RMDs and tables

Post by Indianrock » Thu Dec 06, 2018 12:19 pm

Any news on this? I think the executive order was for a study to consider raising the age at which RMDs must begin and/or revising the withdrawal tables. Not sure how likely this is considering what's been going on with the budget deficit.

I think the projection was for this to take 6 months or so to study. That would be delivery of results sometime early next year. It is my unprofessional legal opinion that you are correct in that the only thing this could accomplish without legislative action is a simple adjustment of the Life Expectancy Tables. Which I view as logical if Life Expectancy has changed since 2002.
