Household statements

Post by jtravisdavid » Mon Nov 05, 2018 4:26 pm

Anyone else not able to access any of their current or historical household statements since this weekend's website downtime?

I don't know what a "Household" statement is but I have access to my statements.

Cheers

By "household statements" do you mean Vanguard brokerage statements? I just logged on and was able to download statements from the past four months with no problem.

Some who have reported problems here accessing the site after the downtime also report that clearing their browser's Vanguard cookies seemed to alleviate their problems.

Vanguard? Maybe edit the post's title.

If you mean Vanguard, did you try clearing your cookies/cache? People were reporting that as making a difference yesterday.

Our HH statements were all there. I just downloaded October.

To clarify, yes, I meant Vanguard. And I am able to access the individual account statements, just not the combined "household" statement.

Were you able to access the household statement last month?

Try to have your spouse log in and see if the household statement is under the spouse’s login.

I just checked and was able to download our October 31, 2018 Household statement. All seems OK for us.

Weird. I called them and the Flagship rep told me that their system is not currently supporting household statements and he did not know when they would be reactivated. If that is really the case I am surprised no one else here is having the same issue...I dunno...

Do you have the mutual funds only accounts or the new brokerage accounts?

Do you have a joint owner login?

SEP is mutual fund only. The rest are brokerage. My wife and I each have a login. Neither one has access to the Household statements now.

I'd call again and talk to another rep. My Household statement includes every account we own individually and jointly.

I have a vague memory (don't hold me to it) that several years ago Vanguard sent me email saying that they were no longer offering the Household Statement capability for new enrollment. Since I was already enrolled for the Household Statement capability, they grandfathered me in, so I still get them. (My memory is that, several years ago, I had to affirm that I wanted to be grandfathered in.)

That may be the explanation of why the customer rep said that household statements weren't currently supported. (It likely isn't the explanation of why yours would vanish suddenly just now.)

For what it is worth, yes, I can see my Oct 31 2018 Household Statement.
