Hi, I've read a few threads on large cap growth vs blend but still have a question.
Choosing between a large cap growth vs blend, what should the main factors be? Should one choose to hold more of the other based on ER? I have the current option of the TRP LG Cap core growth https://www4.troweprice.com/gis/fai/us/ ... -fund.html vs a blend of large cap.
Some points are the growth holds around 44% in their top 10 holdings vs 22% in the blend option. The ER is .32% vs .02%. I have over 30 years until retirement so I can take a litte more risk. Would a combination of growth/blend be a good option?

Best option is likely the cheapest large cap blend fund in your plan.
Actually, a total stock market fund would be better yet if there is one.

In my opinion a large cap blend index fund is likely the better choice, because of lower expense ratio and broader diversification.

Thanks. Unfortunately there is no option for TSM fund type. At least the ER's are very good for most of the options.ruralavalon wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 10:50 am In my opinion a large cap blend index fund is likely the better choice, because of lower expense ratio and broader diversification.
