Just picked up your book today from Barnes & Noble. Starting reading it, and on page xix, you mention The Mutual Fund Forecaster newsletter. From 1989 - 1991, I worked in an office where an employee subscribed to it. Another employee subscribed to the No-Load Fund Investor. I then subscribed to that one for a few years in the 1990s. Back then from my investing buddies from work, Twentieth Century (now American Century) was a favorite company. I had the Ultra and Select funds. T Rowe Price was a favorite company.
Did you use the No-Load Fund Investor back then?
The only bummer with Vanguard back then was that the minimum was $1,500 and most other companies the minimum was $1,000.
