This is quite an interesting interview with Jack Bogle. He describes how he prepared his Princeton thesis, the history and descriptions of the early mutual funds, the early index funds, the history of Wellington, how he founded Vanguard, his penchant for research, and his thoughts on creating portfolios, including his own portfolio and the portfolio he manages for scholarships at his former private high school, the Blair Academy.

What's nice about the interview is that it is conducted by Andrew Lo, a professor of finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management - and not a hurried network broadcaster.
