Is Santa Claus Coming To Town?

Is Santa coming to market town this year?
I remember last year it was kind of shaky.
Are we going to end 2017 on a up note?

As long as the Congress keeps promising a tax cut, the optimism for the markets will continue. When the tax bill passes, it may take months for the tax lawyers and accountants to determine the affect it will have on businesses and individuals. Better bake some cookies for Santa. Merry Christmas!

I'd say Santa has already been here this year.

But: I don't personally know Santa - and I am always wary of strangers bearing gifts.
On the other hand: I never look a gift horse in the mouth.

Cheers,

Given the year to date performance, it would take a really large and abrupt drop to not end positive for the year.

According to this MarketWatch article, https://www.marketwatch.com/story/globa ... 2017-12-08
...World stocks, as measured by the MSCI AC World Index, have risen every month this year so far. In fact, they haven’t had a down month since October 2016. If they were to close out December in the green, that would represent the first year ever without a single monthly decline, as noted by Jeffrey Kleintop, chief global investment strategist at Charles Schwab.

Who cares? If I was worried about prices in the next 3 weeks I wouldn't be invested in stocks.

When you max out your tax-advantaged accounts, Santa Clause is always staying at the Courtyard by Marriott down the street. :moneybag
