MLB Signal?

Post by Raybo » Fri Nov 03, 2017 11:06 am

A team that used to be in the National League has won the world series as the American League Champion. I'm not sure what this portends, but maybe something like the old AFL team winning the Super Bowl might be in store.

Should I double down or lighten up?
No matter how long the hill, if you keep pedaling you'll eventually get up to the top.

The better football analogy is an NFL team that has switched from one conference to another. I think the Seattle Seahawks are the cnly NFL team to do that.

If you go way back teams like Pittsburgh and Cleveland were part of the old NFL and are now in the AFC.

Yes! Or alternatively just stay the course which would be most Boglehead advice.

I wasn't the only one that mumbled "two NL teams are in the World Series, what gives?"

I just remembered that the Milwaukee Brewers switched leagues as well.

Yes. 1998 for the Brewers. 2013 for the Astros. So much fresher.

Only modern team to win a pennant in the NL and AL. Only modern team to win three different divisions (NL West, NL Central, AL West). It's been a fun run this month.
