Yes, thanks for that!

Just the other day my wife was out and about in her car listening to the radio and ran across one of those financial porn shows. She never before showed much interest in our investments (it was hard to get her to look over my IPS) but when she got home she warned me about the big market crash coming any day now and asked if we were prepared for it. The guy on the show had lots of good ideas about what to buy.

I told her that SHE was the product that guy was selling to his advertisers and neither he nor the advertisers had any concern for our well being. I don't think that was a helpful thing to say. She said the guy sounded smart and knew a lot of stuff.

So I just now printed out that article and asked her to pay attention to the dates and to think what it would mean to follow all that advice!

Yes it’s true that that history does not repeat exactly, but it seems that financial news headlines recur almost verbatim!
