Please explain what this weeks Federal Reserve meeting may have on stocks and bonds. Thank you.

usually stocks fluctuate a bit when the Fed meets.
When you discover that you are riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount.

It has also been observed that stocks fluctuate a bit when the Fed does not meet. Curious thing. :wink:

Short answer - no one knows but this IS baked into the price of the market as the Fed has been broadcasting its intent. They hope to GRADUALLY increase rates by selling off their massive bond portfolio

Prices of Treasuries in the 5 year duration range immediate dropped by 0.3%.

And the Treasury quotes on the Vg site went from ridiculous to normal. (Other brokers did not exhibit the same issue.)
