Jack Bogle Interview in Aug/Sep AARP Magazine

Post by Strayshot » Wed Aug 09, 2017 8:25 am

A nice brief article is in the latest AARP magazine. Nothing particularly new, Jack covers his standard perspectives on various topics (max of 20% foreign stock but Jack himself doesn't do it, etc).
No links on the web I am aware of, but if you get the magazine give it a brief read before recycling.
Some of my favorites:

"The stock market is a distraction to the business of investing"

"For investors, by far the better advice is "Don't do something, just stand there" " - in reference to the be in the market and stay the course

"I call the long term cost of fees the tyranny of compounding"

That is a very weird photo of Jack Bogle -
We thought it was a post-up of a thin body with a huge head - very weird -
