Anyone still able to pull in TIAA Real Estate Quote?

Post by Tramper Al » Mon May 08, 2017 9:42 am

Hi,
For the past year or so, I have been using a short script (picked up here on Bogleheads, thank you) to pull the daily closing quote of TIAA Real Estate into my Google Doc spreadsheet of assets / allocations. The ticker is QREARX and the script works via Yahoo (which I suspect is the problem). It has occasionally stopped functioning for a day or so, but this latest outage has lasted a couple of weeks already. Every other quote on my spreadsheet uses Google for its price, but QREARX has never worked there, to my knowledge.

=Index(ImportHtml(ʺhttp://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=QREARXʺ, ʺtableʺ,2), 1,2)

Is anyone having any luck with this - or can offer an alternative?

Thank you.

Right now this is working for me:

=Index(ImportHtml("http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/qrearx","table"),2,4)

The Yahoo one isn't but it goes on/off. I have it setup to pull from whichever cell is working.

Great, thank you. I will try this alternative.

The nasdaq.com source fails me every once in a while, but thankfully always seems to recover <knock on wood>.

Update: I've moved to a new source for the TREA quote.
