White Gold ??? [question about newletter claim]

Post by tetractys » Fri Apr 21, 2017 4:37 pm

What's this:
This Breakthrough "Superfuel" is 1,693X More Powerful Than Gasoline

Unearthed in the Andes Mountains, these mysterious crystals contain what MIT researchers call energy’s “Holy Grail.” And they could ignite a $7.2 trillion economic revolution!

This kind of thing pops up all the time. People swear they've found the answer to (fill in the blank), and nothing ever materializes.

Are you telling me that magnet I strapped to my fuel line isn't helping my gas mileage?

It's probably helping your perception of good gas mileage.

This sounds like one of those ridiculous clickbait advertisements you get on financial/investment/economic websites

This CEO is betting it all on this one stock...

He turned $5.75 into $7,750 billion...

Get rich, own this...

Wow. That's a lot of hyperbolic buzzwords in a few sentences. I'm surprised they didn't also throw "space aged technology" in there.

LOL! Good share. That's a basic motor control center. One of the lowest tech components in industry.

That was fun. But now that we know the claim is both a) absurd and b) from a newsletter pushing an obscure lithium producer stock, it's not really a qualifying investing question.
