1. email and forum post will go at the same time next year, and
2. Never again announce an exact date.
I've marked my calendar the past couple years - and despite the reminders, I always checked the forum after the registration cutoff and missed out. This year, I still marked the calendar (first for mid-Feb, then for Apr 5th per the prior forum posts about a later announcement) but started checking daily well in advance.
I was able to register* this time.
So, speaking from experience and having been on the short end of the stick in the past, consider all dates rough and check frequently if you want to attend.
And yes, a hearty thanks to all who have organized this event for so long and continue to do so. I've been a loyal Boghelead for at least 5 years now and am extremely excited and grateful to finally have a chance to attend the conference.
