Only if I had a time machine and could either see the future, or go back in time. Otherwise, I don't see any opportunities that aren't already fairly priced.

Good luck.

Yes, I like VTSMX.

Coincidentally, I also like it when the price of oil goes up!

That is an interesting take - why do you like it when the price of oil goes up? Do you take that to mean a growing economy (more oil demand)? Do you see some correlation with oil price and VTSMX? Do you invest in an oil stock/fund/etc?

A case can be made for a SMALL percentage of your asset allocation in commodities. If one follows this strategy, then when prices fall (as they have recently), you should perhaps buy more to rebalance.

If you want to read more on the reason for owning commodities, I suggest this as a starting point:

By the way, I use the ETF GSG.

Already there are several threads on the subject, so why not combine them:

I purchased some VGENX today. It seemed like a good buying opportunity. Time will tell I guess.

One might conclude the steady, downward path is the canary in the coal mine. Your proper investment would be in cash. US dollars, preferably.

Yes. I am loading up on three big cap oil stocks. Not telling the names but there aren't that many to choose from.

I'm in it for the long haul.
